Charlie Longsdon's mare was fourth in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham before a strong sixth in a Grade 3 on the Mildmay course here. He came back with impressive success in Bangor and looks ideal for this challenge.

Mac Tottie won the Grand Sefton here last month and should finish this longer race. He is a huge threat along with Vieux Lion Rouge who are looking for an impressive third win in this race.

Kimberlite Candy is another one to enjoy on this track, while you can't ignore Scottish Grand National winner Mighty Thunder.

Tout Est Permis looks like the great value choice after a good fifth place in strong company at Navan on his return.

DREAM alive. Elegant chaser with a second Grade 2 in his prime and fared well for a long run in the Grand National before taking down four outs. A shorter trip will help and experience in fencing will be an advantage. All chances for Henry De Bromhead.

Lord, help him. He jumped here when he was ninth at the Grand Sefton but found the ground too fast when he pitted at the Nationals. Still 16 pounds more than the last win and needs a lot more rain.

can of CANDY. He finished second in the last two races of this one before having no luck in the Grand National when he was thwarted a few times. It's new and the track clearly fits, so it makes solid claims either way.

Everything sweet. He returned to form with a good fifth place in strong company at Navan on the return. He made a big mistake on the Volta do Canal do Nacional before being stopped, but one of the best outsiders.

POWERFUL opportunity. Scottish Grand National winner who found himself 3m short when running fourth at Charlie Hall at Wetherby on his return. He jumps well, so he has to deal with obstacles and his stamina will be an advantage.

NO Raven in it. He won the 2020 National Hunt Chase but has struggled since he was listed in a Grade 1 Down Royal last time. Trip will fit in and has lost weight, but recent form is a concern.

good when? He has had injury problems in just three races since his 2019 win over Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby. He missed the Yorkshire track last month and needs this course to reignite his spark.

pass ISLAND. Decent handicap hunter who holds well and is a decent jumper. He struggled on his recovery at Cheltenham but should be better for the race. He needs a great 10-pound personal best on top of his last win.

Lion Heart. The brilliant record over these hurdles was erased by his crash at the Nationals when he was doing well, but he took two wins and a second of his five cracks in this race. He is only 5 pounds taller than last year's hit and had a pipe opener at Chepstow. Important player again.

type FAL. He hasn't won in two years and showed his age when he was in midfield for Kerry National at Listowel last time out. It can be stretched by this trip too.

HOT Tottie. He won Grand Sefton well over those fences last month when he was jumping well. He had a lot in the tank that crosses the line, so he must deal with that greater distance. A 7 pound gain for this is fair and he's back on the hunt.

Achilles 3

ILLE works fine. He is doing well without a win, even when he was sixth at the Midlands National for the last time in March. Softer terrain would help, but he's a solid jumper who can run into a spot.

I read GIANT. He ran well in Graded's company on the Mildmay Course at the national meet and came back with an easy win at Bangor last month. He jumps really well so has to deal with fences and a 5 pound gain seems fair. She can get really close again.

No. He has run well a few times at Grand Sefton over these fences, but this longer run should be better. He looked rusty on his return to Ascot and needs to take a big step forward.

HIT Height. He jumped well when he came sixth at the Grand Sefton here last time, having won the race in 2020. He's dropped weight and is going for any terrain. He can sneak into a place if he sees this trip longer.

Obsolete COB. He has won a few times at lower levels with test conditions that suit him. Last seen fighting at Cheltenham Festival and that looks like a tall order.

WORTH CHECKING. Top scorer returning from a break with a career-best second in good company at Ascot last time out. He is a decent jumper so he must handle the lane and his staying power gives him a chance.

ARRIVING in Breuil. Inconsistent chaser who took a distant third in this race last year and seventh in 2019. He needed his smooth return at Fontwell last time out and will be fitter here. He is under weight and one of many with claims to place.

LOW MOUNT. He broke a streak of poor efforts with a decent sixth lap at Carlisle last month. He holds his own well, but will need his best to pack a punch against these stronger enemies.

SAW you can go. Good fourth behind Mac Tottie at Grand Sefton here for the last time on his UK debut by a yard going well on this run. You can improve this and not discount yourself from the handicap.

ABA out of tune. Form shards in France on shorter trips and one of three outsiders competing for this owner. Run hard to make their UK debut.

Step by step. Impressive figures of form in France, but in races much easier than that. He is more than two stones off the deficit so best to see him on his first race for David Pipe.
